Chlorine Determination Kit
During production of drinking water, disinfection can be carried out using Chlorination process to kill the microorganisms. After chlorination, free chlorine availability and total chlorine amount throughout the distribution points is to be checked to avoid microbial organism growth. Chlorine must be measured in drinking water distribution points to ensure free chlorine availability in range of 0.2-0.5ppm.
- Uses DPD tablets with Color developing agent: N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD).
- 10 tablets per strip.
- DPD#1 - to measure Free Chlorine. Range: 0-10 ppm.
- DPD#4 - to measure Total Chlorine. Range: 0-10 ppm.
- Using DPD#4 tablets Ozone can also be monitored in final packaged/bottle water from 0-1ppm.
- Valuation can be done using Color charts / Slide Comparator kit / Digital Meter.
- Color charts: Free chlorine can be measured over 0-5ppm and 0.2-3ppm ranges.
- Slide comparator Kit: Free & Total Chlorine can be measured over a range of 0-10ppm.
- Digital Meter: Free & Total Chlorine can be measured over a range of 0-10ppm.
